Our chefs use fresh ingredients to create healthy and delicious homemade meals. Any allergies and cultural requirements can be accommodated and should be discussed upon enrolment.
Tailored environment
Both centres are licenced for a maximum of 50 children per day. They consist of three individual rooms all with outdoor areas.
0-2 YearsNursery
In the nursery we provide a safe haven for our youngest children, with a focus on responsive and trusting relationships with our team of nurturing, dedicated teachers. We ensure the environment caters to the individual needs of the child, allowing them to become familiar with their surroundings and build their sense of identity. |
2-3 YearsToddler
The Toddler room is a beautiful environment in which children are encouraged to develop and build on their social skills and independence. Every child has different play patterns, interests and socio emotional needs that are supported by the teaching team. Connections with home toileting routines are fostered and supported, thus developing positive independence. |
3-5 YearsKindy
The kindergarten room provides an environment full of enriching learning experiences that encourages your child’s curiosity, while empowering them to learn positive social skills, independent self-help skills along with a lifelong love of learning. |
Our Programme
Our Programme is child initiated. Our programme is flexible, catering for children’s individual needs, strengths and interests. Individual programmes are developed through ongoing observations and assessment. Staff support and facilitate children’s development through play.
Our Centre programme is based on the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whaariki. This curriculum is founded on the following aspirations for children:
“To grow up as competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.”
There are four broad principles at the centre of the early childhood curriculum:
Empowerment - Mana Atua
Holistic Development - Kotahitanga
Family & Community - Whakamana
Relationships - Mana Whenua
The term “curriculum” is used in Te Whaariki to describe the sum total of the experiences, activities and events, whether direct or indirect, which occur within an environment designed to foster children’s learning and development.
